Zhang Yifan is a cinematographer based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia.

Shortly after he received his Film and Television Degree at VCA in 22, Yifan began working in the camera department on TV series such as White Fever (ABC) and Spooky Files Season 2 (ABC), as well as Stan original series Love Divided by Eleven. He has also worked on the feature film My Eyes.

Using his skillset gained from industry experiences, Yifan served as cinematographer on multiple award winning indie projects, such as We, the Children of Caterpillars (2022), which was selected to be shown at St Kilda Film Festival 2023. Influence (dir. Nick Vidler, 2022) was showcased at Fantastic Film Festival 2023 and won best student film at Melbourne Cineverse 2023. Most Recently, his work Housekeepers (dir. Kaede Miyamura) was selected to show at the 2025 Flickerfest and nominated at the AWGIES awards.

Yifan is passionate about telling stories that deserve a distinct visual style. He is eager to work with like-minded filmmakers who strive to make films that stray from conventional narratives and say something truly nuanced and unique.
